GUY James was born in Gloucester, and brought up in Dursley until age 16. Having studied at Cambridge University, Guy is returning to Dursley to perform with a group of Cambridge singers called The Gesualdo Six at St James' Church, where James performed as a chorister for ten years.

The Gesualdo Six is an all-male vocal ensemble specialising in the performance of renaissance polyphony and is formed of the best current and former choral scholars from Cambridge University. The group was awarded a place on the prestigious St. John’s Smith Square Young Artist’s Programme for the coming year and has received 5 star reviews for concerts in Cambridge.

The Gesualdo Six are directed by Owain Park, a published composer and current organ scholar of Trinity College, Cambridge who himself hails from Bristol. They will be performing at St James' Church, Dursley, at 3pm on Sunday August 23. For more details please visit www.thegesualdosix.co.uk
