CLEAN Cut Kid. It's a name to remember, because these guys are going to be around for a while.

The Liverpool four-piece were down in Bristol on Friday night, supporting Circa Waves at Bristol's O2 Academy on just the second night of the indie giants’ national tour.

Mike Halls, Evelyn Halls, Saul Godman and Ross Higginson play what has been described as ‘art-pop’ - inventive and exhilarating pop ballads, with a sound that’s unique enough to appeal to the hipster crowd.

Despite only having been performing together for less than a year, they are no strangers to the spotlight, having worked the Festival circuit last summer appearing at Latitude, Secret Garden Party and Somersault as well as headlining the BBC Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds.

But it's never an easy gig being first on stage and this boisterous young crowd made life easy for them. The set was short but beautifully formed, offering the receptive audience a taste of everything these guys have to offer, including their recent single ‘Runaway’ and finishing off with their huge internet hit 'Vitamin C'.

With backing from the likes of Annie Mac, Steve Lamacq and Lauren Laverne, there is no doubt that we will be hearing more of this band.
