CURRENTLY on a UK wide tour, and ahead of her new studio album, is the delightful BBCR2 presenter and multi award winning artist Clare Teal - and she will be coming to Chipping Sodbury this January.

As much as she thoroughly enjoys fronting her Big Band or her Hollywood Orchestra, or presenting her weekly show on BBC Radio 2, award winning jazz singer Clare Teal still revels in performing in more intimate venues. Getting close to an audience is a thrilling experience for Clare. She engages in a wonderful musical (and often spoken) conversation with the audience and they in turn feel that they really have witnessed something personal and very special.

The music played in these shows is always evolving, from The Great American and British Songbooks to the music made popular by her heroes, Ella Fitzgerald, Doris Day and Peggy Lee to more contemporary covers and original material Clare loves to create a melting pot of styles and genres, but all sung in her inimitable style.

Beautiful melodies, fabulous arrangements and all interspersed with Clare’s warm and witty story telling.

At her show, which takes place on Thursday, January 28 at Chipping Sodbury Town Hall, will be backed by her excellent trio on piano, bass and drums.

Expect a dazzling evening of exquisite melodies sung by one of the UK’s greatest interpreters of song.
