MAKE sure you’re ‘Right Here’ at Kingsholm Stadium on 18 June as Gloucester Rugby kick off their summer concerts by welcoming Jess Glynne, one of the UK’s hottest chart stars, to the Kingsholm stage.

First coming into the public consciousness as the vocalist on Clean Bandit’s Grammy Award winning and Number1 hit ‘Rather Be’; pop sensation Jess Glynne has since become one of the biggest UK breakthrough acts of recent years.

Her number-one charting debut album, ‘I Cry When I Laugh‘, has now turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest selling debut album of the past year. She also became the second British female solo artist after Cheryl to have five number-one singles in the UK. Following her three Brit Awards nominations for British Breakthrough Act, British Female Solo Artist and British Single for ‘Hold My Hand’, 2016 continues to be a massive year for Jess with no sign of slowing down.

Jess Glynne said: "It’s going to be great fun playing at Kingsholm Stadium the home of Gloucester Rugby on the 18th June. I love outdoor shows so i can’t wait to share the summer evening with my fans!"

Stephen Vaughan, Gloucester Rugby CEO, said: “Kingsholm has established itself as a terrific live music venue attracting a host of big names. Following the success of Elton John and Madness last summer, we are thrilled to welcome Jess Glynne to the Kingsholm stage. We expect this concert to be a huge success, offering a fresh new sound ahead of the long-established and popular Lionel Richie who will take to the stage the following weekend.”

Around 100,000 people have so far enjoyed the atmosphere and excitement of live music at Kingsholm, with previous acts including Tom Jones, Ronan Keating, McFly, Elton John and Madness. This is set to continue in 2016 with Lionel Richie’s sell out date on 26 June and now the stellar addition of Jess Glynne on 18 June.
