TALENTED Stroud singer songwriter Hattie Briggs will return to her home-town after a busy New Year and will be performing at the Subscription Rooms on Saturday, February 11.

She will be opening for Bristol-based Spiro at the Politics of the Heart concert, which will also feature Jennifer Maidman, singer-songwriter and ex-Penguin Café Orchestra.

Hattie's year has started with a bang with two nominations - one for best album 2016 from Laurel Canyon Music for Young Runaway and one for Best Female Artist 2016 from Fatea Records.

She launched her "12 Months of Madness" Project on New Year's Day, promising a new limited edition release of 120 copies (CD or vinyl) every month of 2017.

January’s CD “On the Corner” was snapped up by fans from around the world and sold out by the middle of the month. It features 14 of her favourite busking songs including Elton John’s Your Song, James Taylor’s Sweet Baby James and Eva Cassidy’s Fields of Gold.

Fans have been asked to give their suggestions for themes for other months and several months will be tailored to fit these specific requests.

Her second album Young Runaway will be released on vinyl in April.
