CAPTIVATING new duo Dipper Malkin are rapidly earning a reputation for their take on traditional music and are appearing at Ruskin Mill, Nailsworth, of Friday, March 3.
With their debut release, Tricks of the Trade, in January 2017, Dipper Malkin celebrated their inheritance whilst avoiding the trap of complacency by offering their own inventions.
Dipper Malkin is the combination of two musicians who have spent their careers to date involved in groundbreaking projects.
John Dipper (viola d’amore) was one third of The English Acoustic Collective alongside Chris Wood and Robert Harbron and currently works with string quartet Methera, while Dave Malkin (guitar, voice) was a founding member of trio Tandem, combining traditionally informed compositions with live electronics.
