MALMESBURY Abbey Music Society (MAMS) welcomes the Chamber Philharmonic of Europe on Saturday, March 18 at 7.30pm.

After the great successes of the last six, the Orchestra is returning to tour England, Scotland and Wales.

Chamber Philharmonic Europe is built upon a broad range of professional experience.

In the interest of promoting the younger generation, the orchestra provides promising artists the opportunity for further development in its various sections as well as engaging more experienced orchestral musicians.

This mixing of younger and older generations creates a uniquely creative work atmosphere which inspires and motivates the ensemble and produces exciting performances for the audience.

The orchestra will appear in its nine-man chamber form. Their programme includes Wolf (Italian Serenade), Hummel (concerto for trumpet in E-flat major), Bach (concerto for violin in A minor BWV 1041), Mozart (Divertimento in F Dur K.138, Faure (Pavane Op. 50) and Grieg (Holberg-Suite Op.40).

  • Tickets £15 (£5 students) are available from Malmesbury Abbey Bookshop and online at mamsmusic.co.uk
