LIFTING the Blues charity concert will be at the Bacon Theatre in Cheltenham on Friday, March 24, with Ruby Turner, described by Jools Holland as “The Queen of Soul” .

Ruby Turner has a critically acclaimed back catalogue and appeared on releases by the likes of Brian Ferry, UB40, Steve Winwood and Mick Jagger.

Dave Jones of Vonnies club in Charlton Kings said: “I am delighted to be again promoting Ruby.

"She has performed twice before to a sell-out audiences at my first Lifting the Blues in 2010."

Ruby is supported by a new and rising band the Kondoors who have beautiful soulful harmonies with an acclaimed band.

Dave said: “This year we are introducing a great opportunity for talented local musicians and there is no one more talented and local than Marcello Constantinou who will kick off the show. Be quick though there are only 40 tickets left.”
