EMILY Barker will be giving a pre-launch of her new album Sweet Kind of Blue, at SVA Goods Shed in Stroud on Thursday, May 18.

The album, to be officially launched on May 19, was made last year at Sam Phillips Recording Service in Memphis, Tennessee.

At this special SVA event, Emily will talk about her time in Memphis, show footage of the recording, tell stories behind the songs, and perform them with her Stroud-based band featuring Pete Roe (keys and guitars), Rob Pemberton (drums) and Lukas Drinkwater (bass).
