TWO times MOBO award winner, saxophonist and composer, YolanDa Brown celebrates her new album Love Politics War with a tour across the UK, stopping at over 20 venues including the Subscription Rooms in Stroud on Saturday, October 28.
Love Politics War follows the success of her debut album April Showers, May Flowers, which debuted at No.1 on both the iTunes and Amazon Jazz charts.
Her 2016 UK tour Reggae Love Songs saw her perform at the Proms at the Royal Albert Hall as well as headlining the Barbican London Jazz Festival.
A prolific collaborator, Brown has worked with musicians such as Jools Holland, Grammy Award-winners Morgan Heritage, Lemar, Michelle Williams of Destiny’s Child, reggae legend Bob Marley’s son Julian Marley and Mica Paris.
Love Politics War features an eclectic mix of genres,including jazz, soul and reggae which, along with her bubbly personality, help win over the audience.
