Madonna is apparently on the bill for this year’s Brit Awards.

The Queen of Pop is “99 per cent confirmed” to take to the stage to perform at the event in February, reported the Daily Mirror.

A source said the Girl Gone Wild singer has “cleared her diary” for the ceremony, which she last performed at in 1995.

“Madonna wants to perform to the biggest number of people for the maximum impact and there’s no better place for a controversy-filled Madonna performance than the Brits,” said the insider.

“She has already confirmed she will perform at the Grammys, when she will debut the new music.

“But her album is due out on March 9, a month after the LA ceremony, so she wants another large platform to perform her songs on just before it is released.”

It’s thought Madonna, 56, will perform tracks from her new album Rebel Heart at the Brits, which will take place on February 25 at the O2 Arena in London.

However, a spokeswoman for the star said it was “just speculative” at this stage.

Before the Brits, Madonna will be on stage at the Grammys at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles on February 8.
