Warwick Davis has revealed that his Star Wars selfies are not from Episode VII, The Force Awakens.

The Planet’s Got Talent host shared pictures during his appearance on The One Show, which soon sparked speculation that they were hints about the upcoming movie.

The 44-year-old actor, who played the Ewok Wicket in Star Wars VI: Return Of The Jedi, shared images of himself standing alongside Chewbacca and Darth Vader on the BBC magazine programme.

The Life’s Too Short star is due to appear in the seventh instalment of the sci-fi franchise, alongside returning stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher and new cast members including Oscar Isaac, John Boyega, Daisy Ridley, Adam Driver and Domhnall Gleeson.

He has remained tight-lipped about his role, saying: “I can’t tell you anything about Star Wars or what I’m doing in it.

“I can only say that I’m in it, which I’m really grateful for because it’s lovely to go back to that galaxy far, far away once again and be part of what’s going to be another bit of movie history.”

Directed by JJ Abrams, Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in December 2015.
