Idina Menzel and John Legend are set to perform at the Super Bowl.
Frozen star Idina will sing the national anthem before the game kicks off at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, on February 1.
Meanwhile, Oscar nominee John – who won a Golden Globe and Critics’ Choice award for his track, Glory, from the Selma soundtrack – will perform America The Beautiful as part of the Super Bowl XLIX pre-game festivities, the NFL announced.
Idina tweeted her excitement about her forthcoming performance.
Pop star Katy Perry will perform during the halftime show. She will be joined by rocker Lenny Kravitz.
Idina, who has had a huge hit with Frozen’s Let It Go and her Broadway show If/Then, follows in the footsteps of Alicia Keys, Kelly Clarkson, Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera and Whitney Houston, who have performed The Star-Spangled Banner at past Super Bowls.
John succeeds Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton and Lea Michele, who have previously performed America The Beautiful.
