Chris O’Donnell choked up with emotion as he thanked his huge family that flocked to Hollywood to watch him unveil his star on the Walk of Fame.
The Batman And Robin star was overcome with emotion as he thanked his mother, his wife, five children and his six siblings for coming from all over the country for his special day.
He was also supported by co-stars from his TV show NCIS: Los Angeles, including LL Cool J, as he unveiled his star in front of Jameson’s Irish Pub, a nod to his Irish roots.
The 44-year-old star said: “This is indescribable to say the least. As an actor you spend days and years just trying to get work and this is the first time in my career I have had steady work and I can’t imagine having a job where you feel so good every day and enriched and excited.
“There has never been a day we feel frustrated or angry to be there, we feel happy and lucky to be there.”
Acknowledging the huge crowd of family gathered to watch the ceremony, he added: “I have got a lot of family, I may have set the record for family here today and they came from all across the country, usually it’s a funeral or something depressing so it’s lovely to have something to celebrate.”
Just before pulling back the cover on the star, he said: “This is an amazing thrill and I can’t imagine the journey that has happened since people took a chance on me all those years ago to end up here getting this star.”
