The Fast And Furious 7 trailer, featuring a tribute to Paul Walker, has zoomed to success after being named the best trailer of the year.

The emotional TV spot, which is titled “Family” and is set to Wiz Khalifa’s chart-topping song See You Again, took pole position at the Golden Trailer Awards in Los Angeles. It also won in the best action category.

Clint Eastwood’s war drama American Sniper and The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 tied for the most wins with five awards each.

American Sniper, starring Bradley Cooper as US military shooter Chris Kyle, won best thriller, best drama TV spot, best thriller TV spot and best drama poster amongst its prizes, while Mockingjay, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, took home best teaser poster and best fantasy adventure trailer amongst others.

British winners included The Imitation Game (best foreign drama trailer), The Woman In Black: Angel Of Death (best horror) and Shaun The Sheep The Movie (best foreign animation family trailer).

Far From The Madding Crowd (best foreign romance trailer), Ex Machina (best foreign thriller trailer) and Hyena (most original foreign trailer) were also honoured with prizes.

The awards, hosted by comedian TJ Miller, were presented at a ceremony at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills.

They recognise the studios and creative teams behind film trailers and promotional campaigns, which have become a unique art form and events in themselves.
