Scott and Bailey star Suranne Jones has revealed her first TV crush was Phillip Schofield.
“What wouldn’t you love about someone in a broom cupboard with a gopher?” she told the Radio Times.
Suranne’s latest role is in BBC One’s drama Doctor Foster, which has seen her play Doctor Gemma Foster.
Just don’t ask her to show you her wrists, as the 37-year-old has a phobia of her own wrists.
“It’s not other people’s wrists I’m scared of, it’s mine, because the skin is thinner around that area,” she revealed.
To help her train for her role as a doctor she spent time at a surgery in north London, and also received some help from her team on-set.
They sent her a clip of Vinnie Jones doing CPR to Stayin’ Alive, to help her practise resuscitating someone.
She tied the knot with Laurence Akers, a magazine editor, at the beginning of August in a secret ceremony.
Don’t expect to see her practising her Strictly moves though, as she revealed she turned down the chance to show off her cha-cha skills.
“I got asked to do a Strictly special, but it’s not my bag. If I’m being interviewed that’s OK, but anything else fills me with dread,” she explained.
However, she’d jump at the chance to swap her scalpel for a spatula, and says she’d do Celebrity Great British Bake Off, “for free”.
