The stars of Strictly Come Dancing have been holed up in rehearsal rooms for the last three weeks – and now fans finally get to find out what they’ve been working on.
The music and dance styles for Friday and Saturday night’s shows have been announced as the celebrities prepare to perform with their professional partners for the first time.
Carol Kirkwood and Pasha Kovalev
Weather presenter Carol and her professional partner Pasha will dance a cha cha to Leo Sayer’s Thunder In My Heart.
Katie Derham and Anton Du Beke
BBC presenter Katie and fan favourite Anton will be jiving to Roll Over Beethoven by Chuck Berry.
Daniel O’Donnell and Kristina Rihanoff
Irish singer Daniel will debut with a waltz to Ruby Murray’s When Irish Eyes Are Smiling alongside partner Kristina.
Kellie Bright and Kevin Clifton
EastEnders actress Kellie will be performing the tango to The Kinks’ You Really Got Me with partner Kevin.
Jeremy Vine and Karen Clifton
Newsreader Jeremy will dance the cha cha to the song September by Earth, Wind and Fire alongside partner Karen. Many suspect he will be among the first to exit the competition.
Jamelia and Tristian MacManus
Pop star Jamelia will be dancing the waltz to Do Right Woman, Do Right Man by Aretha Franklin alongside Tristan.
Iwan Thomas and Ola Jordan
Former athlete Iwan is set to tango to Keep On Running by Spencer Davis Group with his partner Ola.
Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani
The Wanted singer Jay will be performing the cha cha with Aliona to Human Nature’s Reach Out, I’ll Be There.
Anthony Ogogo and Oti Mabuse
Boxer Anthony and his partner Oti will dance the jive to Wham!’s Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go.
Peter Andre and Janette Manrara
Bookies’ favourite, pop star Peter, is set to dance the cha cha with partner Janette to Christina Aguilera’s Ain’t No Other Man.
Kirsty Gallacher and Brendan Cole
Sports news anchor Kirsty will dance the waltz to Vincent by Don McLean, alongside her partner Brendan.
Ainsley Harriott and Natalie Lowe
TV chef Ainsley is set to perform the tango with Natalie to the tune of Voulez Vous by Abba.
Georgia May Foote and Giovanni Pernice
The soap actress will be dancing a jive to Meghan Trainor’s Dear Future Husband, alongside newcomer Giovanni.
Anita Rani and Gleb Savchenko
TV presenter Anita will be dancing a cha cha to Clean Bandit’s Rather Be, with partner Gleb.
Helen George and Aljaz Skorjanec
Call The Midwife actress Helen, who has the best odds out of the female contestants, will perform the waltz with partner Aljaz to the song With You I’m Born Again by Billy Preston and Syreeta Wright.
Six couples will dance on Friday night, with the remaining nine couples taking to the dance floor on Saturday evening.
Judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Bruno Tonioli and Craig Revel Horwood will be on hand to critique the celebrities and give the dancers their first score, although none of the couples will be leaving the show this weekend.
The judges’ scores will be carried forward to next weekend, when viewers will get their first chance to vote for who should stay in the competition.
Strictly Come Dancing airs on Friday, September 25 at 9pm and Saturday, September 26 at 6.15pm on BBC One.
