Mariah Carey has landed a role in The Lego Batman Movie.
The Dreamlover songstress will make her animated debut in the superhero spin-off, alongside Will Arnett and Michael Cera.
But there is confusion over which part she will voice, with the Hollywood Reporter claiming she will portray the mayor of Gotham, while Deadline said she would be Commissioner Gordon.
Will is set to reprise his voice role as Batman, with his Arrested Development co-star Michael as his sidekick Robin.
Ralph Fiennes will play Batman’s butler Alfred, while Rosario Dawson has been cast as Batgirl and Zach Galifianakis as The Joker.
Chris McKay will direct The Lego Batman Movie, which is the first follow-up to The Lego Movie and is set for release in 2017.
It will then be followed by a Ninjago spin-off, before a direct sequel to The Lego Movie.
Mariah’s previous acting credits include movies such as Precious, Lee Daniels’s The Butler and Glitter.
