Keep your peepers peeled for Pip!
Phillip Schofield, henceforth dubbed Pip, will be invading every show on the ITV schedule for a whole day on December 1 to raise awareness for their Text Santa Christmas Jumper Day.
Wearing a variety of festive jumpers, Pip’s going to be hopping from Jeremy Kyle to Emmerdale and The Chase to “do his bit in a Christmas knit”.
If eagle-eyed viewers spot the cunningly-concealed This Morning host and tweet @ITVTextSanta using #Pipknit within 10 minutes of his appearance, they could be in with a chance to win tickets to the main show, or one of Pip’s winter woollies.
Pip said: “I’m so excited about doing my bit in a Christmas knit and I get to wear a lot of Christmas jumpers throughout the campaign so I will have the ultimate Christmas jumper wardrobe!
“Appearing in ITV’s iconic shows throughout one day this year is a fantastic opportunity to promote Text Santa’s Christmas Jumper Day and raise donations for this year’s very deserving charities, Macmillan Cancer Support, Make-A-Wish and Save The Children.”
This year Text Santa is fundraising for the three charities and, since 2011, the show has raised more than £21 million for 22 different charities.
Text Santa will be hosting a Christmas Jumper Day on December 18 which will coincide with its television appeal night.
The night will feature Pip, Christine Bleakley, Alesha Dixon, Caroline Flack, Amanda Holden, Paddy McGuinness, Stephen Mulhern, Olly Murs and Holly Willoughby alongside some special episodes of ITV’s favourite shows.
And Pip won’t be the only one having festive fun to help encourage the nation to don their yuletide sweater.
Watch out for appearances from Ant and Dec, Paddy McGuiness, Keith Lemon and Corrie’s Ken Barlow on your telly box in the run-up to the show.
