For music lovers who like their Saturday nights filled with a little more oomph, Conwy will host a stacked all day line-up of the very best punk and metal from around the UK.

A staggering bill of 10 bands will take over the Comrades club this weekend for the next instalment of Conwy's resident metalhead Mark Watson-Jones music symposiums.

Heading the bill is Manchester's Revenge of the Psychotronic Man, a fast and furious punk rock band who are calling by Conwy for the first time on what is their last tour before they they hang up their guitars.

Joining the Mancunians from further afield are hypnotic post-punks Pembrokeshire's Mwstard, Glasgow’s Ilk from bringing their thunderous mix of taiko drums and guitars to the club and the speediest reprobates to ever grace the Comrades stage, Lincoln’s Mothcob.

Adding to this already impressive mix are North Walian rockers, Rhyl’s electronic experimenter's Teethcrack, Levellers-esque political folk-punk extraordinaires Red or Dead of Penmahcno, the intriguing Hot Dawg Assasins from Llanrwst, Penmaenmawr’s The Three Sick Steves and Bangor’s Dilation making their debut.

Of course, no showcase of the the best of what North Wales has to offer would be complete without Emissaries of Syn, Conwy’s own thrashing machine will air new songs from a split release with Russian, Japanese, and Spanish bands.

Mark Watson-Jones, event organiser and Emissaries bassist said: “The Comrades gigs have been going from strength to strength, with bands from further afield now asking to play here because they’ve heard it’s a great place with a great reaction.

"I’m even more excited for this one as the quality and experience of the bands is going to be special, can’t wait.”

The Conwy All Dayer takes place on Saturday, April 28 from 3pm at the Conwy Comrades Club.

Admission is £5 on the door, with all proceeds going to Freshfields Animal Rescue.
