Witches Of East End actor Christian Cooke has hinted his character could be competing for Freya's affections - despite being her twin brother.

The British actor - star of Demons and Magic City - joins the US show about a young generation of witches and warlocks in its second season, arriving as a mysterious stranger. But his character Frederick Beauchamp turns out to be the brother of Freya, played by Jenna Dewan Tatum.

Christian teased: "The show is a bit racy. I'm her brother - maybe there's a bit of incest on the way, who knows?!

"So far I've stayed clear of the raciness, but who knows what will happen..."

He said of joining the show in the second season: "It's great. It's obviously a bit nerve-racking when you turn up and everybody knows each other, but everybody's been really nice and it's a really good bunch of people.

"It's a really fun job to do actually, which is a massive thing when you're away [from home] for four or five months."

The first series saw brothers Killian and Dash Gardiner, played by Daniel Di Tomasso and Eric Winter, battle it out for Freya's affections, with Freya breaking off her engagement to Dash because of her feelings for Killian.

Eric said of the love rivalry: "I just give them Daniel's phone number and say he's the guy you want - it's all about KIllian. I'm team Dash! But I just tell them to go to Killian."

Daniel said: "To everybody's disappointment Dash and I get along quite well. Eric Winter's a great guy and he's been a great friend on set. It makes it more fun that we get to play with that dynamic, that conflict - but we're on good terms."
