THE Full Monty - the critically acclaimed, rip-roaring stage production by Oscar winner Simon Beaufoy - visits the Theatre Royal Bath next week, immediately prior to opening in the West End.

In 1997, a British film about six out-of-work Sheffield steelworkers who had nothing to lose, took the world by storm and became one of the most successful British films ever made. Simon Beaufoy, the Oscar-winning writer of that film, has gone back to Sheffield where it all started, to rediscover the six men, the women, the heartache and the hilarity of a city on the dole. Be prepared for laughter and tears as we follow Gaz, Gerald, Dave, Guy, Lomper and Horse as they head towards the side-splitting finale - the full monty!

The Full Monty opened on stage in Sheffield last year earning rave reviews from the critics and a rapturous response from audiences on tour. Featuring the iconic songs from the film by Donna Summer, Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones, the production visits Bath directly before transferring to the Noel Coward Theatre in London’s West End.

The Full Monty tours to the Theatre Royal Bath from Monday 3 February to Saturday 15 February. Visit www.theatreroyal.org.uk for more details
