YOU’D be “crazy” to miss this show! Following their great success with “Beauty and the Beast”, Director Heather Collins and Choreographer Kara Kennedy, aided and abetted by Musical Director Roger Winter, are applying their talents to Gershwin’s award-winning musical “Crazy For You”.

The show which is packed full of romance, comedy, lively dancing and memorable songs including “I got Rhythm” and “They can’t take that away from me”. When “Crazy For You” opened on Broadway in 1992 it won “Best Musical” and the following year won “Best New Musical” in the West End. Set in the 1930s, the hero, Bobby Child longs to tread the boards but being the son of a wealthy banking family this is not allowed. Ironically it falls to him to foreclose on the Gaiety Theatre in Deadrock, Nevada. Naturally he falls instantly in love with Polly the feisty daughter of the theatre owner. Wishing to impress her he comes up with a scheme to save the theatre by putting on a show, enlisting the help of the glamorous Follies dancing girls and training a bunch of cowboys to dance and sing. He also impersonates Bela Zangler, a big Hollywood producer. It can only end in tears! No-one comes to see the show, Bobby’s fiancé arrives followed by the real Zangler and mayhem ensues. Will there be a happy ending? You’ll have to come and see for yourselves!
