IF YOU fancy doing something Wicked this February, why not head along to the Bristol Hippodrome, where the untold story of the Witches of Oz is being revealed on its historic stage as part of the new tour.

In a brilliantly witty re-imagining of the stories and characters created by L. Frank Baum in The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Wicked tells the incredible untold story of an unlikely but profound friendship between two sorcery students at Shiz University: the blonde and very popular Glinda and a misunderstood green girl named Elphaba.

Glinda’s unflinching desire for popularity sees her seduced by power while Elphaba’s determination to remain true to herself, and to those around her, will have unexpected and shocking consequences for her future. Their extraordinary adventures in Oz will ultimately see them fulfil their destinies as Glinda The Good and the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked is now the 10th longest-running show in the West End, where it continues its open-ended run. It has been seen by more than 6 million people in London alone and will soon play its landmark 3500th performance. Around the world, Wicked has been seen by 44 million people in 13 countries and won 100 international awards.

Wicked is a global musical phenomenon that has proved with Bristol theatre goers that further shows have been added to the West country leg of the tour, which runs from Wednesday, February 18 to Saturday, March 21. Call 0844 8713012 or visit atgtickets. com for further details.
