SHAKESPEARE at the Tobacco Factory return to the Everyman in Cheltenham next month (May 13-16) with their unique take on Shakespeare’s classic play, Romeo and Juliet.

This is a story of boy meets girl. But it is not a simple love story. These children’s lives are fuelled by mistakes, hatred, violence and exquisite pain. They are entangled in the infamous family feud without a hope of getting out alive. And yet…and yet…we cannot help but hope.

Shakespeare’s timeless masterpiece proves that love is a force to be reckoned with. Romeo and Juliet will never grow old and neither will this story; this is a love story that was, is and will be again.

Bristol-based Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory have thrilled audiences at the Everyman with productions of Two Gentlemen of Verona and As You Like It and this promises to be every bit as mesmerising. The play has been directed by acclaimed young Russian director, Polina Kalinina, as the company’s first guest director since Jonathan Miller’s Hamlet in 2008.
