A DOUBLE First! Not only is this the World Premier of the Everyman’s, (Cheltenham) new play with music, it’s also the first time in living memory, probably the first time ever, there has been such an event in the Congregational Chapel at North Nibley.

The rural touring scheme Arts in Rural Gloucestershire, otherwise known as Air in G, once again comes to North Nibley, bringing you “Business as Usual”, a tale of courage, grit and a liberal smattering of humour. With their husbands and boyfriends fighting for freedom in France during World War 1, the womenfolk of Gloucestershire determine that it must be “Business As Usual” on the home front.

Air in G brings first class professional entertainment to our doorstep. Previously held at North Nibley’s Village Hall, “Business as Usual” on Friday, May 8 at 7.30 pm will be at North Nibley Congregational Chapel, in support of their initiative to open up the Chapel to more varied community use.

“Business as Usual” is presented by the Everyman Theatre’s professional company of actors to commemorate the centenary of the First World War (as part of the Gloucestershire remembers World War 1 project). Every Air in G event we have hosted has been a great night out for those people lucky enough to have bought tickets.

As an added bonus, there will also be a display of local WW1 archive material in the bar, in collaboration with the Wilson Art Gallery and Museum, the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum, the History Press and Gloucestershire Archives.

Tickets, priced at £8.50, now available from North Nibley Community Shop or email bookings@northnibleyhall.org.uk or ring 0845 467 4118
