THE award-winning theatre group Thornbury Musical Theatre Group will be performing their latest concert “Life is a Cabaret” this weekend in The Armstrong Hall.

Discover how cabaret was born from the streets of Paris and the Moulin Rouge through to Germany in the 1920’s and 1930’s onto America and the UK and then worldwide. The show will feature a wide selection of songs including music from Franz Lehar’s Merry Widow to Glenn Miller; from 1940’s Britain and American songbook, from shows like Cabaret, Chicago and Moulin Rouge; through to 60’s, 70’s and 80’s with I only want to be with you, New York, New York and Walking in Memphis.

The concert is directed by member Keith Glasspole who says: “The audience can expect a mixture of Chorus, group duos and solos with some dancing girls thrown in! An entertaining mixture of songs that should suit every bodies taste. We are very excited to perform this show and we look forward to seeing you there”.

Tickets for the show, which takes place on Friday 5 and Saturday 6 June at 7.30pm, are available online from www.tmtg.org.uk or from our box office at Lisa Costa Residential Sales and Lettings, 53 High Street, Thornbury Telephone: 07516270140
