THE egg theatre invites you 'Home' this week, as the award-winning stage show for children aged 1 to 5 years comes to Bath.
Staged by Italy’s La Baracca Theatre Company, 'Home' tells the story of a grown-up and a child who meet, get to know each other and build a house together. Capturing the ups and downs of everyday life, this thoroughly entertaining piece of theatre explores the profound importance of a place we often take for granted in our daily lives.
Home is a place where we can relax. It’s a place of shelter, it’s where we eat, take a bath and, sleep. It’s a place to live our lives, share experiences, and welcome guests. Home is a space where we can explore and invent, and a place that changes as we change. It is also a place which we leave to discover everything that exits outside it, and ultimately, a place to return to.
Winner of the 2014 Early Years Award at the International Children’s Festival, Home is performed by Andrea Buzzetti and Carlotta Zini and directed by Bruno Cappagli, who co-wrote the show together.
'Home' visits the egg theatre from Sunday 7 to Tuesday 9 June. Visit www.theatreroyal.org.uk for tickets and more details.
