SHOOTING Stars Youth Theatre Company's recent production of Hairspray was a total sell out & roaring success.

The group consists of young people up to the age of 21 & produces two shows yearly.

Shooting Stars NODA (National Operatic & Dramatic Association) rep, Tony Winstone came along to do a critique of the show & the following comments are excerpts from his report:

"Once again Shooting Stars have pulled the proverbial rabbit out of the hat and produced a brilliant show and you would have never realised that this was a first night performance. Every character had been well cast and they all worked together as a team, working hard and showing great energy & enthusiasm from the start and it was obvious that they were all enjoying themselves.

From the inception of this group in 1991, the list of productions show that Shooting Stars are not afraid of challenges and they are backed up by such a talented group of youngsters. It is good to see that there are so many with different talents which they bring into play, whether singing, dancing, or acting. Shooting Stars should be proud of themselves for their hard work and the professional style shows that they present to their audiences. Congratulations on yet another successful production which I thoroughly enjoyed, as did the capacity audience. The sell out performances are a tribute to all of the hard work you do as a Team."
