THE much-loved characters of the Home Guard of Walmington-on-Sea are coming to Dursley next month when the Dursley Operatic and Dramatic Society performs Dad’s Army.
This hilarious stage version of the classic TV sitcom is being performed by the DODS between October 7 to 10 at the Lister Hall, Dursley (7.30pm).
All the much-loved characters are featured: "stupid boy" Pike, "Don't panic, don't panic" Jonesey, "Doomed, we're all doomed!" Fraser, "May I be excused, sir?" Godfrey, and all under the command of the redoutable Captain Mainwaring and his effacing deputy Sergeant Wilson.
Director Jalea Ward said: “Dad’s Army has a special place in TV history as one of the all-time classic comedies. This wonderful version features all the warmth and character of the original, brought to life on the Lister Hall stage.”
