PERRYWAY Players and Livewire Amateur Dramatics Society are this year presenting the pantomime Little Red Riding Hood, written by Tracy Rogers and directed by Jessica Grace Weaver and Rhys Maule.

Taking you on a fun filled journey that will have you and the entire family laughing from start to finish, you can expect to see much of the humour provided in true dame fashion by Dame Granny Smith, played by Craig Hunt. We follow her on her journey as she endures a variety of interesting encounters with certain characters after putting in an advertisement for a date in the local paper.

Little Red Riding Hood, played by Molly Johnson and her ‘hoody’ friends muster up the courage to investigate the strange museum which has been opened in the village by the mysterious Professor Lupus alias Mr Wolf played by Joe Oliver, and his sidekicks including Dr Jekyll alias Mr Hyde and the comedy duo Frank and Stein.

Amongst all of the mayhem, we watch as the love story blossoms between two star crossed lovers, The Squire’s daughter, Lady Penelope and The Poor Woodcutter, Jack played by Ben Deacon.

This year Perryway Players are inviting Building Circles, a local charity from Gloucestershire who transform lives of people with learning disabilities, to join them on Tuesday, January 5 for a very special private preview. This extra evening will see us perform six shows in total, an exciting addition to our usual five performances. The entire cast and crew are delighted about the opportunity and cannot wait to show you all of their hard work and efforts.

To book your tickets, £8 or £5 concs., visit www.perrywayplayers.com or call Ticket Source on 0333 666 3366.

Performance dates are from Wednesday, January 6 to Saturday, January 9, at the cadbury Hall, Frampton on Severn. The show starts at 7.30pm and doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of the performance.
