A MOTHER unable to escape from baby talk, an unsuccessful seduction attempt, a fate fraught restaurant dinner and a disastrous garden party; all of these scenarios will be addressed in this year’s summer offering from Octopus Drama Group. ‘Confusions’ is a set of five short one act plays by renowned playwright Alan Ayckbourn who is a master in the shaping of a plot and the expression of a character through the written word. The plays range from gentle comedy to out and out farce and have an underlying theme, which is the human dilemma of loneliness, the basic need for companionship and the need to be accepted.

Regular audience members will recognize many familiar faces in the cast but we are also delighted to welcome several new members to our society, who we are sure, will bring renewed vitality, acting ability and youth to our already well established and talented group.

Confusions will run for four performances from Wednesday, June 15 to Saturday, June 18 at Christ the King Church Hall (Porch House) at 7.30pm

Tickets, £7 and £6 for concessions, will be available at R A Bennett Estate Agents on The Plain or by phoning Karen Gill on 01454 413783
