X FACTOR finalist and star of the stage version of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, Diana Vickers, and S Club 7’s Paul Cattermole will continue to play the roles of Janet Weiss and Eddie & Dr. Scott respectively in the UK tourof the Rocky Horror Show, which comes to The Bristol Hippodrome for one week from Monday, July 18.

Joining Diana and Paul, reprising the role of Brad Majors is Richard Meek. Richard returns to the musical extravaganza for the fifth time, having originally played Brad in the 2007 and 2010 UK tours. He subsequently toured with the show in New Zealand and Singapore in 2013. In 2015 Richard returned once again, this time playing Eddie/Dr. Scott alongside Richard O’Brien himself, as part of a series of special performances in London's West End at the Playhouse Theatre. A star-studded gala performance was also broadcast live from The Playhouse to cinemas across the UK and Europe.

On extending her time on tour, Diana Vickers said: “I’m really enjoying playing Janet, and I’m excited that I will get the opportunity to extend my time in Rocky as we continue to tour the UK. There’s definitely no show like The Rocky Horror Show – no other musical like it – and I’m delighted to continue my run.”

Paul Cattermole added: “I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time in the show so far, and the chance to continue in this brilliant production is incredible. I’m looking forward to bringing the Rocky magic to audiences across the country.”

On reprising the role of Brad, Richard Meek said: “I’m delighted to be playing Brad again, coming full circle on my Rocky journey back to where it all started. It’s such an honour to be part of the Rocky family. The songs are all such classics and the fans are incredible, night after night!”

Liam Tamne, who shot to fame in series two of The Voice on BBC1, will continue in the iconic role of Dr Frank N Furter. Following his huge success playing over 900 performances during the 40th Anniversary global tour of the Rocky Horror Show, Kristian Lavercombe returns as Riff Raff. Norman Pace of Hale and Pace continues to manage the proceedings in the role of the narrator.

Richard O’Brien’s Rocky Horror Show was first performed on 19 June 1973 at the Royal Court Theatre and has become the world’s favourite Rock N’ Roll musical, having been performed worldwide for over 40 years in over 30 countries and translated into more than 20 languages. It tells the story of Brad and his fiancée Janet, two squeaky clean college kids who meet Dr Frank N Furter by chance when their car breaks down outside his house whilst on their way to visit their former college professor. It is an adventure they’ll never forget, with fun, frolics, frocks, and frivolity, bursting with timeless songs and outrageous outfits.

Directed by Christopher Luscombe, the Rocky Horror Show is a guaranteed party, which famously combines science-fiction, horror, comedy and music and encourages audience participation meaning, of course, getting dressed in your most outrageous fancy dress. This musical extravaganza features all of its famous musical classics including “Science Fiction/Double Feature”, “Dammit Janet” and of course, the timeless floor-filler, “The Time-Warp”.

Be warned, this show has rude parts! The Rocky Horror Show is at the Bristol Hippodrome from Monday 18 to Saturday 23 July.
