OVER 100 years after it was written, a radical new co-production of Bernard Shaw’s Pygmalion arrives at The Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham on Tuesday, March 28.

One of the most celebrated comedies of the 20th Century and the basis for the worldwide smash-hit musical My Fair Lady, Pygmalion is a hilarious and poignant tale of two opposites, Henry Higgins and Eliza Doolittle, trying to find a common language.

Directed by Sam Pritchard and starring Alex Beckett (Henry Higgins) and Natalie Gavin (Eliza Doolittle) Pygmalion is a co-production between Headlong, Nuffield Theatres Southampton and West Yorkshire Playhouse.

Witness the transformation of Eliza Doolittle in a world where we can be digitally altered within seconds.

Through video and sound technology, director Sam Pritchard’s fearless new staging interrogates class identity and social mobility in Britain today and asks us - how much do our voices still define who we are?

The full cast is Alex Beckett (Henry Higgins), Ian Burfield (Alfred Doolittle), Gavi Singh Chera (Freddy Eynsford Hill), Flaminia Cinque (Mrs Pearce/Mrs Eynsford-Hill), Natalie Gavin (Eliza Doolittle), Racheal Ofori (Clara Eynsford-Hill), Liza Sadovy (Mrs Higgins), Raphael Sowole (Colonel Pickering).
