ONE of the highlights of the Abbey 900 Cirencester Festival promises to be an amateur production of Murder in the Cathedral this September.

The play, by one of the 20th Century literary greats, T S Eliot, tells the story of the worsening relationship between Henry II and Thomas Becket, Archbishop of Canterbury, which culminates in one of the most shocking acts in our history.

The drama will be performed in the atmospheric setting of Cirencester Parish Church with professional sound, lighting and music on Thursday, September 14, Friday 15 and Saturday 16.

Would you like to be a part of this very special production?

Auditions are being held in Watermoor Church Hall on Sunday, May 21 at 3pm and at the Parish Centre in Gosditch Street on Tuesday, May 23 at 6.30pm.
