NOT Going Gentle at the Everyman's Studio theatre in Cheltenham is a concert performance of prose, poetry and song exploring the most exciting part of life - from the time the children leave home to the final curtain.

From Shakespeare to Sean Murray’s new short play Slippers, via Pauline Prior-Pitt, Dillie Keane, local writers Laurie Lee and Rachel Joyce and a host of others, the performers explore the golden years with pieces to make you smile, cry and laugh.

The cast of three actors and one musician are all seasoned performers.

Gabrielle Drake, known for her television appearances in programmes such as The Brothers, The Kelly Montieth Show and the cult sci-fi shoe UFO is a theatre performer of distinction.

Steve Dunachie is a freelance musician combining performing, composition, private teaching, lecturing and Music Therapy.

Sian Murray has extensive experience in theatre nationwide and her television credits include Bedworth Pie (BBC) and the role of Lizzy in Crossroads (ITV).

Colin Prockter, who lives in Stroud, has performed in theatres all over the country. Television appearances include My Family, Heartbeat, Doctors and Dr Who.

He took over “The Rover’s Return” for a few months when he appeared as stand-in landlord Rodney Bostock in Coronation Street and returned to the soap some years later as Fred Elliot’s nemesis, Eddie Maddocks, the boxing butcher.
