OCTOPUS Drama Group opened their production on Wednesday night with an original piece written specially for the group by Lizzie Lindsell, at Christ the King Church Hall, Thornbury, and it will run for a further three nights at 7.30pm until Saturday. October 14.
All profits from the show will be donated to Jigsaw the local charity set up by parents to support families with children and young people with additional needs.
In the play the villagers of Littleford come together to put on their own talent contest and you are invited to watch. Singers, comedians, novelty acts – who’d have thought this handful of locals were so gifted?
With entertainment both front and backstage however, it won’t just be the performances that are up for judgement.
When the glitter settles, who will be going home with the Golden Microphone, and who with the presenter’s wife.
There are some tickets still available from Chappell & Matthews in Thornbury High Street, Karen on 01454 413783 or you can order them from the web site octopus-thornbury.co.uk priced at £7 (£6 concessions).
