AN ACOUSTIC evening with roots in the Gazette area will be held at The Space, Lansdown, Stroud on Saturday, March 15 (8pm).
The event will feature Wilcox & Brooks, Pete Taylor and Ed Goulden.
Wilcox & Brooks are Brian Wilcox from Dursley and Nick Brooks from Cardiff. Brian said: "I attended Blue Coat Primary School and Katharine Lady Berkeley's School in Wotton-under-Edge.
"People might know me locally as lead singer in The Chill and for organising the music at the North Nibley Music Festival which is at present gearing up for another successful year.
He added: "Although Nick and I only met two years ago, at work, we have already written three albums worth of our own material and are rapidly gaining much acclaim on our travels.
"Our music is a unique blend of my rock/indie vocals and folk guitar, combined with Nick's soothing guitar picks played in a classical style."
The pair is noted for an informal stage presence and a knack of making people smile, whilst performing meaningful lyrics & catchy tunes.
Bri' said: "The best buzz we get is when people sing our songs back to us."
Wilcox & Brooks played at the Frocester Beer Festival last year and have been booked to appear at Chepstow and Burnham folk festivals this year.

Pete said: "I've played throughout the south west and further afield.
"My biggest success occurred last year with the release of my solo EP, Warm Red', which won the BBC Radio Gloucestershire solo folk performer award 2007 (with Johnny Coppin)."
Pete Taylor is lined up to perform at the Folk on the Water Festival in Saul this summer, as well as at the North Nibley music festival and other local venues.
He said: "My style is best described as contemporary acoustic folk rock with influences ranging from Counting Crows to Nick Drake and everything in between."
Support at the acoustic event next month will be provided by 16 year old singer Ed Goulden.
Brian Wilcox said: "Ed posesses a natural talent to make you stand and listen, with a voice beyond his years."
Ed attended Cam Everlands Primary School and is now a student at Marling School, Stroud.
Brian summed up: "The gig at The Space is a chance for us all to showcase what we do and to provide a thank you to the many people who come and watch us in the smaller venues."
