Strictly Come Dancing: The Professionals

THE hugely popular Strictly Come Dancing series scores a perfect 10 with this new professionals tour.

Featuring eight professionals, who have won so many competitions worldwide their trophy cabinet could take up most of the dressing room, the stage is set for a night of unreserved glitz and glamour, skimpy outfits and world class dancing.

As each couple waltz, samba and Lindy Hop across the stage, interspersed with introductions from the Strictly judges on a giant screen, the audience lap up the live experience of watching magic on the dance floor.

There are group numbers including a 1940s jive and the final disco number which gets everyone in the groove as well as intimate sambas and, of course, Vincent and Flavia’s technically-brilliant and jaw-dropping Argentine tango.

Ballroom fans will not leave disappointed with Natalie and Ian’s stunning waltz and a group Viennese Waltz.

This is a chance for the professionals, who usually take a backseat to the celebrities they are mentoring, to really shine. Because they are so well known to television audiences, their witty banter between big numbers is a welcome addition to their undisputed dancing dynamism.

James Jordan is a born entertainer and is just as natural with a microphone as he is whirling his wife Ola around the floor. And Vincent’s cheeky confidence is a real crowd pleaser.

With a score ranging from Beyonce to Kings of Leon and Lady Gaga, the live band and sensational singers are as good on tour as those on the live show.

This is a must for any Strictly fan and indeed anyone who loves to dance. And for those of us who can’t keep a beat, the professionals will certainly have you trying.
