ORGANISERS of the Saul Canal Festival have bounced back, with confident plans for this summer's event - following the floods that washed out the 2007 festival.

This year's celebrations will run from Friday, July 4 to Sunday, July 6.

All boaters & campers who booked for 2006 and 2007 are receiving festival information & invite packs - anyone else interested should e-mail scf_enquiries@junctionevents.org.uk English Holiday Cruises have opened bookings for cabins on board Oliver Cromwell'. The unique and largest Riverboat Hotel in Britain will be cruising to the Festival and will be moored on site during the whole event.

The vessel and crew will provide top class bed & breakfast accommodation and an evening carvery restaurant; and will also be one of the Festival's four music venues.

Saul Junction will soon boast yet another attraction to boaters. Land & Water's 284-berth Saul Marina, with slipway for cruising vessels, will be opening in the spring.

Festival support staff are still needed; and the Festival on line ticket sales page is now up and running. Visit www.junctionevents.org.uk for details.

Clive Field, Festival Director, said: "The members of the Cotswold Canal Trust's Saul Canal Festival management team are all on a mission - helping to bring the Cotswold Waterways back to life by raising funds in an entertaining and educational way..."

He added: "The success of our mission in the future will always depend upon a committed band of volunteers - thanks once more to you all: there is fun for all down at Saul."
