Simon MacCorkindale is best known for his role as Consultant Harry Harper in the long-running BBC series Casualty and his roles in several major films, including Riddle of the Sands with Michael York and Jenny Agutter and Death on the Nile with David Niven and Peter Ustinov. Simon is also an internationally recognised director, producer and screenwriter. On stage, he made his West End debut in the highly acclaimed Pygmalion directed by John Dexter, alongside Alec McCowen and Diana Rigg. He has also performed on stage and directed plays in America, including Sleuth with Douglas Fairbanks Jnr, James Whitmore and Howard Keel, all playing the same role in Dallas, Houston and Southern California respectively.

Michael Praed is well-known for his starring roles in the television classics Robin of Sherwood as Robin and Dynasty, and he has starred in numerous plays and musicals on both the West End and Broadway stages. His extensive theatre credits and many roles in the West End include Beautiful and Damned at the Lyric, Aspects of Love at the Prince of Wales Theatre and The Three Musketeers at the Broadway Theatre, New York.

The original production of Sleuth ran for a total of twelve years in London and New York, winning the Tony Award for Best Play and inspiring the hugely successful 1972 film starring Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine. Sleuth has recently been rediscovered by a new generation thanks to Kenneth Branagh's 2007 remake of the film starring Michael Caine and Jude Law, adapted by Harold Pinter.
