FORMER Simply Red frontman Mick Hucknall is heading to Bristol this month as part of his American Soul tour.

Billed as intimate and memorable performances, this solo tour is the start of a new era in his career and promises to be something special for Hucknall’s adoring fans.

With a free rein to record, together on one album his favourites from his own personal journey through the American soul genre, Hucknall will perform classics songs such as I Only Have Eyes For You, I’d Rather Go Blind and That’s How Strong My Love Is.

Already renowned for interpretations of others musicians’ songs, he has previously had global hits with Money’s Too Tight To Mention, If You Don’t Know Me By Now and You Make Me Feel Brand New.

The April tour hails the beginning of a new chapter for Hucknall after the final curtain fell on Simply Red at their triumphant sell-out Farewell Tour in December 2010.

Mick Hucknall plays Bristol’s Colston Hall on Monday, April 22. He will be supported by rising star MOYA and the much awaited follow up to BBC Radio 2 A-Listed single Making Me Fall.
