OVER 50 people attended an uplifting and heartwarming Christmas Carol concert held by the Cotswold Chorus.
Despite the chill and incessant rain, a large group enjoyed the performance at Dursley Tabernacle Church, with the choir of St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, Nympsfield, stealing the show on their first public performance.
The Cotswold Chorus, with musical director David Furnival and accompanist James Corbett, performed a mixture of traditional carols and contemporary work ‘On Christmas Night’ by Bob Chilcott.
The school choir was accompanied on the piano by Gillian Holmes and co-ordinated by Helen Innes.
Cotswold Chorus Chairman Rosemary Stower said: “It was not easy work and involved much concentration and dedication but the Choir as always rose to the occasion and performed the work with gusto.”
