Equipment stolen from Newtown building site

THOUSANDS of pounds worth of equipment has been stolen from a building site near Slimbridge.
Police are appealing for information into the overnight burglary on Sanigar Lane in Newtown which happened between 4.45pm on Friday, January 11, and 7am on Monday.
The offender(s) entered the gated yard by breaking the padlock and then took a box of lead cavity trays and steel lintels.
Once inside the site, the offender(s) have then entered a steel storage container and stole Electrolux products including a fridge-freezer, a dishwasher and a washing machine.
The thieves also took off with 50 white pre-finish internal doors with fittings and linings as well as three ironmongery packs.
The total value of the goods is approximately £4,000.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation should call police on 101 quoting incident 119 of January 14.
