OUTDOOR clothing firm Millets is to close its store in Yate.

The shop in Four Seasons Square also sold camping equipment and walking boots.

It is another in a list of High Street names to disappear from Yate Shopping Centre recently. Other stores to have closed in the town in 2012 include Peacocks, Burtons Menswear and Evans.

The closure is among 30 announced by Millets this week.

In a statement, Yate Shopping Centre management said: "We are very sorry to announce that Millets will be closing 30 stores including Yate.

"We would like to wish all the staff the best for the future."

It has not yet been announced when the store will close.
