BERKELEY Primary School is seeking community representatives to help improve its sustainability.
The school has already achieved Silver Eco status from Eco-Schools, an initiative managed by charity Keep Britain Tidy.
The award programme aims to make sustainability an integral part of school life, encouraging good habits such as reducing waste, saving electricity and recycling.
Berkeley Primary is seeking the top level Green Flag, awarded to the most environmentally friendly schools.
In order to achieve this prestigious award, an Eco Committee needs to be made up with representatives from people outside the school as well as staff, children and parents.
Business and community representatives are needed who can offer up a little of their time and knowledge or interest in anything from recycling and litter to transport, biodiversity and healthy living.
The commitment would be an early morning meeting once each term to discuss targets for the school.
