A MAN was trapped in his blue Ford Focus after it overturned and crashed into another vehicle, driven by a woman, in Coaley.

At around 6.45pm on Friday, January 25, all three emergency services were called to the accident on Levers Hill.

One fire engine attended from Dursley Fire Station and one from Stroud Fire Station with a total crew of nine firefighters.

The injured motorist was released before the arrival of the fire engines and treated at the scene by an ambulance.

The fire crews made the area safe by disconnecting the vehicle battery and were detained for approximately 45 minutes.
