Avon and Somerset Constabulary recover caravan in Winterbourne on the same day it was stolen
2:18pm Wednesday 30th January 2013 in News By Alexandra Womack
POLICE recovered a caravan in Winterbourne on the same day that it was stolen.
It was taken on Tuesday morning, January 29, from the owner's drive in Fishponds.
Officers later spotted one matching the description being towed at the Hambrook lights and it was stopped by police in Winterbourne. Two men were arrested for theft and later released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary advises people to secure their caravan using a good quality hitchlock, a wheel clamp and locking wheel nuts. The force says owners should fit and use an alarm, take photographs and empty caravans when they are not in use.
