Public consultation for Dursley Youth Centre at Dursley Town Hall
3:03pm Friday 8th February 2013 in News By Daniel Chipperfield
DURSLEY’S future youth centre is a step closer to becoming a reality with a public consultation being held to help decide its look and feel.
The event on Saturday, February 9, will give residents the opportunity to raise ideas, questions and concerns for the proposed centre at Dursley Tabernacle Church.
The meeting at Dursley Town Hall will run from 10am to noon and will show the initial designs for the multi-use youth centre on the ground floor of the church in Parsonage Street, as well as improved facilities for upstairs.
Dursley Town Council clerk Helen Bojaniwska said the project team, which includes representatives from the town council, Dursley Tabernacle United Reformed Church and members of the Cam and Dursley Youth Forum, were looking forward to sharing their ideas for the site and receiving feedback on the designs.
The next stage would be for the project team to gather the ideas and draw up a planning application for the site.
Copies of the plans are available for inspection at the council’s office on Castle Street or on www.dursleytowncouncil.gov.uk
