HEALTHY eating was the lesson being taught to Dursley Primary School as part of a trip to a nearby supermarket.
Given a superhero theme, the year two pupils were told what would make them big and strong and what would sap their energy in their trip around Sainsbury’s on Castle Street.
The six to seven-year-olds from the Church of England school were told the dos and do nots of eating healthily on the tour.
"Yellow Class from Dursley C of E Primary School visited the Sainsbury's store as part of their science work on healthy eating," said their teacher Carol Barton.
"It is linked with our superhero topic, as superheroes need to eat healthily to stay fit!"
Sainsbury’s spokeswoman Nikova Davies said it was a pleasure to have the children in the store.
"They were beautifully behaved and were a lovely bunch to be with," she said.
"We would welcome them back to the store at any time."
